Blurby for Nutcases: It's the year 2033. Since so many people have developed allergies to peanuts in this century, the government has banned peanuts and all peanut-related products, including (*gasp*) peanut butter. Side note: I think that was the most anyone has ever used the word 'peanut' in a sentence. Well, as you can imagine, Morgan, my heroine, refuses to live in a world without PB. So, with the help of my hero, Clark, they build their own peanut-butter-making machine in the secret basement of her home and begin the business of bootlegging. Also, they share a few pb kisses, etc, etc.
And now the excerpt, continuing from where we left off:
“I just don’t want you to crush me.”
“Too late, I have a major crush on you.” Leaning
closer so her lips were within inches of his, she whispered, “You can sleep with me,
but you have to pay the toll first.”
“You think you drive such a hard bargain?” His lips eagerly
met hers, firm and demanding. The force of his kiss propelled her backward and
he climbed over top of her, straddling her thighs. “It’s much nicer up here.”
“Were you all lonesome by yourself?”
So this Tuesday, July 1st is Canada Day, and I will be celebrating this momentous occasion for the very first time in our nation's capital: Ottawa, Ontario. Apparently it's a street party that goes on for blocks, with live music, buskers, dancing, general merriment, and I'm sure even a few Mounties will show up for some eye candy. I mean, to keep us all in line. Wishing everyone a spectacular week ahead!! :)
