“Will I
see you again?” The note of panic in her voice sliced through the sound of skin
on skin, bringing the show to an abrupt halt. She shut her big, fat, stupid
mouth and tried to wish away the humiliation. The question reeked of desperate,
pathetic girl.
He
lowered her back to the desk and pressed up on his forearms, cradling her head
in his strong, capable hands. “I sure as hell hope so.”
