She was still crunching on the last bits of candy when she pulled into the stall and parked. Heart pounding, she reached for her documents and thrust them out the window before he said a word.

“Just your passport will do for now, ma’am,” he stated, chuckling softly.

So I have to take a moment and give a huge shoutout to my Canucks out there who kicked some serious ass at the Olympic games! I couldn't be more proud of my little country that could. It's been an incredible ride, and I'm already looking forward to the next one! I'm writing this before our men take to the ice for the gold medal hockey match against Sweden, but I have faith we'll bring home the big W. Go, Canada, go! Hope you all have a wonderful week! :)

Good morning, my friends! As promised, I'm switching gears this week and sharing an excerpt from my soonish-to-be-released Crossing the Line, a kinda, slightly, almost true story. Well, it's based on a bit of truth, at least.

With her foot pressed firmly to the brake, she smoothed her damp palms down her denim-encased thighs. She was next in line. Craning her neck, she caught a glimpse of a navy blue uniform. She blinked when that blue uniform and the long, lithe male body inside it unfolded from the gate office and approached the car under surveillance.

“Damn,” she murmured in appreciation. 

There was something infinitely pleasing about a man in uniform. Shifting into park, she rolled down her window to get a better view. Dark hair, sun-kissed skin…She was already undressing him in her mind, like any normal, hot-blooded erotic romance author would do.

Tomorrow is one of my most favourite days of the year: Family Day! Many Canadians get this day off to spend time with the people who matter most in life. I was very fortunate to be able to spend most of my long weekend with my incredible parents. They came to visit me in Ottawa for the first time since I officially moved here back in November, and I was so excited to show them how I've settled in. And that I actually have some household skills. And that the burritos from Mucho Burrito are the best thing in the entire world...after peanut butter, of course. :D Wishing you all a fun and family-filled week ahead! 

Weekend Writing Warriors #53!

Greetings, my friends! Hope all is well in your world! Feeling hungry? Then you've come to the right place! I'm sharing one last excerpt from Nutcases then I'll be revisiting an oldie but a goodie! Without further ado, let's get crackin'!

Here's the premise: It's the year 2033. Since so many people have developed allergies to peanuts in this century, the government has banned peanuts and all peanut-related products, including (*gasp*) peanut butter. Side note: I think that was the most anyone has ever used the word 'peanut' in a sentence. Well, as you can imagine, Morgan, my heroine, refuses to live in a world without PB. So, with the help of my hero, Clark, they build their own peanut-butter-making machine in the secret basement of her home and begin the business of bootlegging. Also, they share a few pb kisses, etc, etc. 

And here's an excerpt:

Lips fused together. He propelled her toward the table, until her back was flat against it, her thighs still pressed to his. “I can’t wait to work with you, Morgan.” His fingers slipped beneath her shirt, exposing the smooth, creamy expanse of her stomach.

“Me too,” she whispered, a wicked gleam in her eyes. “I wanna make peanut butter with you, Clark.” Her toes curled around his calves to pull him closer. “Slow, smooth, sweet peanut butter.”

How excited am I that the Olympics are on right now? Like, there are no words. Just so far BEYOND excited I can't even stand myself. I remember when I was in high school and my parents went to Mexico for a vacation. My grandparents came to look after me and my brother, and the entire week I faked being sick so I could stay home to watch the '98 Olympics in Nagano. I know they knew I was faking, but they just loved to see the dramatic lengths I would go to in order to prove I was truly on my death bed. I'd do it all over again too. Wishing you all a sensational and sporty week! Go, Team Canada! :)

When she turned back to him he was stark naked. No sense in wasting precious time. The smile that lit her face confirmed he’d made the right move. She sashayed closer, her eyes trained on his cock, and it jerked in response.

Her hand reached out and gently stroked his balls. He clenched his jaw and focused on breathing.

“Nice nuts” she murmured.

He chuckled, lifting her chin so their eyes met. “Don’t eat them.”

On Friday I celebrated my champagne birthday (31 on the 31st). The best part of my day, besides the cake made from cupcakes from my co-workers, was being carded at the convenience store when I bought a lottery ticket.
