He stood and she marveled at how perfectly unrumpled he was. Her eyes were on his lower half as he retrieved the cell phone from his pocket. He took several steps away to make the call without disturbing her or other patrons.
“Guess
things worked out, huh?”
She
jumped at the sound of another man’s voice and spun on her chair, only to come
face to abdomen with the super-cute barista from earlier. The one who’d told
her she looked great before her date with Jackass Joe. “Better than I
expected.”
His cobalt-blue eyes shone as he smiled. “I’m so
glad. Have a nice night.”

So I've spent the last four days in the fabulous state of Arkansas, hangin' with my bestie, Miss Maggie Wells, having the most delightfully wonderful vacation. Here are some highlights: Peanut butter pie at Three Sam's BBQ, cardboard sledding at the Clinton Presidential Library, Willy D's dueling pianos, frozen spoonfuls of Nutella and Jif salted caramel spread, shakes, Trainwreck at the theatre, Wii gaming, movies at the Wells' estate, Big Bopper sundaes, etc, etc, etc. I can't tell you how much fun I've had! It's been such a blast, but, sadly, I must leave today and return to my arctic tundra country. Thanks to Mags and her hubby and the state of Arkansas for being so freakin' awesome! Hope to come back again someday soon! As for the rest of you, may your week ahead be as spectacular as my weekend! :)
