Here's the blurb from Adventures in Online Dating: After too many failed relationships, too many shots of tequila, and too many not-so-gentle nudges from her best friend, Sydney Montrose joins an online dating site in hopes of finding THE ONE. During her adventures, she crosses paths with a professional gamer who lives with his parents, a sweet and sarcastic parking enforcement officer, a flirty barista, a mystery man, a touchy-feely former felon, and a clown. Which one will she choose? Well, that's all entirely up to you!
And here's an excerpt, continuing from where we left off (P.S. This is the last you'll see of Garrett. We'll start a new adventure next week!):
“This is crazy,” she whispered.
“I don’t just molest guys in alleys like this.”
“No?”
he asked with a chuckle. “I can honestly say I’ve never been molested in an
alley before today, but I quite enjoyed it.”
“Really?”
“I
mean, I would gladly stay here and let you take advantage of me all night—”
She
practically launched herself at him, but he held her at bay—not an easy task
when she put all of her weight behind the attempted assault.
“Or,
we can go and have some dinner, and get to know each other better over food and
wine, and once I get you to your house safely, we can be as proper or improper
as you’d like.”
She
beamed at him, delighted by his morals, his sense of humor, and the
devilishness in his eyes when he’d said the word ‘improper’. “Garrett, I
believe this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.”

So, as promised, I'll share a bit about my own dating adventure last Sunday. We met up at a public basketball court and shot some hoops while we fired questions back and forth. It didn't get nearly as competitive as I expected, mainly because we were much too distracted by each other. In fact, while we were busy gazing into each other's eyes, two teenagers stole our court and we were forced to take up residence on the corner of a nearby soccer field, where we sat and talked and made googly eyes at each other for THREE hours. There has been a date since. There will be more dates. Hopefully many, many more. This girl is one smitten kitten. Stay tuned for more adventures next week! Have a wonderful day! :)
Noooo! How dare you put Garrett on ice just as I'm coming around to him? Can't wait to see what's in store for Sydney next.
ReplyDeleteThough it will be hard for her to measure up to what you've got goin' on. Sounds like a perfect date. Hopefully there'll be many more to come.
LOL, that's the secret, right? Always leave 'em wanting more. ;)
DeleteI hope so too! I'm a happy, happy girl. Thanks, Christina!!
Exciting snippet. Garrett is The Man, I hope.
ReplyDeleteAs for you, dear Evelyn, thanks for sharing so much of your life from family gatherings, to baby showers and now a new man in your life.
Well, Garrett is The Man for now, at least. ;)
DeleteI love sharing personal stories and anecdotes, and I'm so glad you enjoy hearing about them, Charmaine. I always love hearing about your life too. :)
Well that's a good place to leave us on this story! (I still miss the clown tho.) Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteLol, I'll bring him back someday, Veronica, just for you! Thanks! :D
DeleteI enjoyed this!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the excellent date!
Nice! He's got a point, a little getting to know each other never hurt. Also, her bedroom has to be nicer than an alley!
ReplyDeleteI like Garrett. A lot. But then I've liked most of her dates except the gamer living in his moms basement. LOL. Congrats on the fun date and future dates
