Blurby blurb: After too many failed relationships, too many shots of tequila, and too many not-so-gentle nudges from her best friend, Sydney Montrose joins an online dating site in hopes of finding THE ONE. During her adventures, she crosses paths with a professional gamer who lives with his parents, a sweet and sarcastic parking enforcement officer, a flirty barista, a mystery man, a touchy-feely former felon, and a clown. Which one will she choose? Well, that's all entirely up to you!
And now for an excerpt, continuing from where we left off:
“The guy’s obviously an idiot.”
“Yeah,”
she grumbled, “an idiot who got away without a parking ticket.”
His
fingers brushed against hers as he took the ticket from her hand and tore it
up, just like that. The grin on his face had her
hooha doing the cha-cha.
“You
tore up the ticket,” she whispered in disbelief. “I can’t believe you did
that.” The guy was a saint--an adorable, loveable, dateable saint. “You really
shouldn’t have done that.”
“Would you prefer I write you a new one? I
think I saw you jaywalking when you crossed the street.”

I figured I'd give you all a quick update on my own personal dating life. I'm still seeing the same guy. We've been together for about a month and a half and things are going wonderfully! Just this past Wednesday, our dodgeball teams (yes, we play on separate dodgeball teams in the same league) faced off against each other in an epic throw-down showdown. My team didn't simply win, we obliterated them by a score of 15-4. But don't worry about my guy's morale. I made sure to kiss his bruised ego better after the game. ;) Hope the rest of you have a fantastic, fun-filled week ahead!
Hoo-ha doing the cha-cha. Hee hee hee. Sounds like she still needs to mind her p's and q's around him.
ReplyDeleteLove in the Time of Dodgeball- how sweet. :-) Glad things are going well!
LOL! Love in the Time of Dodgeball. I think that's the title I'll give the romance novel I'll inevitably write about us. :D Thanks, Christina!
DeleteI've been biting my tongue wanting to know personal stuff and here we are. Adorable snippet and so are you.
ReplyDeleteHee! No tongue-biting necessary! I'm an open book! :) I think you're pretty adorable too, Charmaine. Thank you so much!
DeleteFirst playing dodgeball against one another is super cute and straight out of a romance :)
ReplyDeleteYour snippet this week is another tease! Getting a bird's eye view of her dates is always a good laugh and makes me anxious as I try to figure out who she would be perfect with
I think you're right! I know I'll eventually write a romance about us. The ideas are brewing in my head. :D So happy you've been enjoying the stories, and thank you so much for commenting, Michelle!
DeleteHe does sound like a saint! Now the big question, will she be angelic or devilish? Either way, it should be fun!
ReplyDeleteSeriously? A month and a half? Aww, lifers! ;)
Oh, she's a good girl...mostly. ;)
DeleteYep, a whole month and a half! If you're a betting woman, this guy's got great odds! :D
LOL. She has a low standard for sainthood.
ReplyDeleteLove this snippet. It makes me smile. She should definitely ask him out!
ReplyDeleteAmusing snippet indeed - she should stop while she's ahead, before he writes any more tickets!
