Here's the blurb: After too many failed relationships, too many shots of tequila, and too many not-so-gentle nudges from her best friend, Sydney Montrose joins an online dating site in hopes of finding THE ONE. During her adventures, she crosses paths with a professional gamer who lives with his parents, a sweet and sarcastic parking enforcement officer, a flirty barista, a mystery man, a touchy-feely former felon, and a clown. Which one will she choose? Well, that's all entirely up to you!
And here's an excerpt, continuing from where we left off:
A smile deepened the lines
bracketing his mouth. “Beautiful name for a beautiful woman.”
She
dove for her mug so she could hide the giddy-swoony-girly grin that was
threatening to split her face behind the ceramic. When she schooled her
features to a less freakish level, she murmured a polite, “Thank you.”
“So
where’d you pick him up, that Joe fella?”
“And
the world of online daters collectively mourns the loss of their greatest
acquisition.”
“Where were you before I registered for the
site and paid more than my month’s supply of coffee?”

Well, today I'm off to my first family reunion of the summer. So excited to spend some quality time with my family, enjoy fabulous food, and revel in the festivities. But really, the main reason for my excitement is the fact that I get to squeeze my baby nephew! :D I'll be sure to give him an extra kiss or two (hundred) for all of you! Wishing everyone a fantastic week ahead! :)
I'm hanging here, Evelyn. Not fair while you're off squeezing that baby. Temptress! Okay-all is forgiven if you reveal the answer next week. . .or else.
ReplyDeleteLol, I will, Charmaine! I promise. :D Thanks so much!
DeleteLove the description of her over the top grin.
ReplyDeleteAnd give that nephew lots of hugs and kisses.
Thanks, Victoria! Done and done! :)
DeleteFabulous exchange. Her responses are so realistic and I love how she has to hide her features;).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family.
Aww, thank you, Tina! You're always so complimentary. :) I enjoyed every minute with the fam!
DeleteExcellent question, where was he LOL??! Loved this excerpt a lot.
ReplyDeleteHee! You'll find out soon enough. Like next week! ;) Thanks, Veronica!
DeleteI love good dialogue! Great snippet.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that! Thanks, Lynn! :)
DeleteI dunno. I still maintain this guy is a little TOO smooth. Suspicious, moi? Nevah! :-) Have fun squeezing tiny nephew!
ReplyDeleteHaha, good that you don't fully trust him. Let him earn it. ;) Thanks, Christina!
DeleteI was thinking the same thing, wondering if ol' Garrett hangs out at the coffeehouse on a regular basis, waiting to swoop in and scoop up damsels in distress. But he sure says the right things, I'll give him that! He and Sydney certainly seem to be hitting it off.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a blast with the family!
