Hello and welcome!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog! :D I have emoticons! *dances* Please feel free to use them inappropriately! That's what this blog is all about--lettin' loose and havin' fun!

Since this is my first official blog post as an official erotic romance author, perhaps I should tell you a bit about myself. I signed with Turquoise Morning Press on April 1st, appropriately enough. But my writing journey started wayyyyy before that. About a decade ago, as a matter of fact. I fell in love with creative writing, joined an online writing group, and things just took off from there. But it wasn't until one of my best friends, Margaret Ethridge, began her great publishing pursuit that I thought, 'Wait a minute. Maybe I could do this too.'

I got my big shot over a year ago. I attended the Lori Foster Reader/Author Get-together in Cincinnati, Ohio and won a fabulous raffle prize: a free critique of ten pages of manuscript by Kim Jacobs from Turquoise Morning Press! Cue spastic dancing fit! As soon as I returned home I marched directly into my cave of inspiration and wrote my little tushie off. The first draft of my short story caught Kim's eye and she offered incredible feedback and suggestions for revisions. She also might have hinted at the 'c' word. No, not that word, you dirty birdies. :P A contract!

Back into the cave of inspiration. I typed and typed and edited and typed and ended up tacking on another 4000 words to my story. And I fell in love with it. I was so proud of what I had accomplished. So I sent that puppy back to Kim, and I think you know the rest of the story. Oh, okay! I'll tell you! She loved it, she wanted it, and she gave me my first 'c' word! Yay!

I still have a hard time believing it's true. Someone pinch me. Or spank me . . . Where was I? Oh, right. My first release, Blind Faith, is in the final stages of editing. It will be available for your reading pleasure later this summer. And in the meantime I've been working on several other tantalizing treats for you to enjoy, so stay tuned!

One of my greatest goals as a writer, and a human being in general, is to entertain people. *dances* *juggles* *sings a capella* I hope to do that on my blog as well. I encourage you to come and visit me any time, ask questions, shoot me an email, or just say hi! I'm a big fan of games so we'll be playing a ton of those. There may even be some prizes. ;)

Now that I've talked your heads off, how about you share something with me. What's the coolest thing that's happened to you in 2012?

:) :( ;) :D :-/ :x :P :-* =(( :-0 X( :7 B-) #:-S :(( :)) =)) :-B :-c :)] ~x( :-h I-) =D7 @-) :-w 7:P 2):) :!! \m/ :-q :-bd ^#(^

  6. How do I get them emoticons in my post? :)

So excited for you. I can't wait to read...and review...your story. Yikes did that scare you? ;)

Best thing of 2012 so far has to be my yearly trip to see my BFFs. I love them dearly and we only get together once a year. Not nearly enough. Precious memories!

  7. I thought they were the kind you could just click on, but you have to actually type the symbols out to make the emoticons appear. But at least I have them! :) LOL, I'm a tiny bit scared for you to review my story but I trust that you'll enjoy it. And I appreciate your support so very much!! :bd

  8. :ar!

I don't see a lobster up there, so the pirate will have to do!

    Congratulations on all your success!

Best thing of 2012 so far....that would have to be our trip to South Carolina, especially the time spent at the zoo. That was unforgettable to say the least.

But I've got 2 more vacations coming up in the next few weeks, and they should be a lot of fun as well.

    Many much hugs!

I so loved our trip to the zoo. That was classic, and I think it should be our new tradition wherever we go! Hope your vacations are wonderful!

Thank you for everything, Christine! You're a fantastic friend!!
