Six Sentence Sunday #12!

Howdy, friends! Welcome to my fancy place. I have snacks and refreshments on the table over there. Just help yourselves. I hope you're not allergic to peanuts. And no double-dipping the chips. You might as well shove your whole mouth in it if you're gonna do that. :P Anywaaaay, I'm sure there's another reason why you're here, besides my fabulous make-believe party. Today's excerpt is from my current work in progress, Sweet Smoke. It's about a super-sexy firefighter landlord and his adorable new tenant who is a walking fire hazard. Hope you enjoy!

“I have a job,” he whispered into her hair. “I have two other properties I’m trying to sell, a gym membership I don’t use enough, and a woman in my life who’s a fire waiting to happen.”
She smiled sheepishly. “Maybe that’s where the term ‘surefire’ came from.” He tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and pecked a kiss to her temple. “And I think you could stand to skip the gym for a few more weeks.”

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day! :)
