Weekend Writing Warriors #35!

Gooooood Sunday morning to you! Hope you're all doing well! Today I'm sharing one final excerpt from Crossing the Line, then next week it'll be something completely new! We're skipping ahead just a little bit, post-interrogation. Madison is now at the writing conference surrounded by her girlfriends.

Here's the blurb:
Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And here's the excerpt:

Romance writers. If anyone could understand the magical dynamic of what happened to her at the border, these ladies were the ones. Torn over whether or not to share the details of her detainment, she decided to bite the bullet and go for it. There was a good chance they wouldn’t believe her anyway. “Well, I, uh…had an interesting drive down.”
Mary-Jo gasped. “Oh my God, were you wearing a vibrator?” The other women burst into giggles.

Thanks a ton for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

Yesterday I saw Gravity in 3D at the theatre. I'm not usually a big fan of 3D movies because the glasses give me a headache, but I have to tell you...seeing this movie in 3D IS A MUST! The cinematography is breathtakingly beautiful. If that's as close as I ever get to outer space, then okay. I'm totally cool with that because WOW. I was THISCLOSE to it. Everyone in the theatre was riveted. You could have heard a pin drop. So this is me highly recommending you go and see it. You won't be disappointed. Be good, have a fab day, and take a moment to thank your lucky stars that all those satellites in space are still working and we have our precious internet. *hugs internets* :D

  1. This bit had me laughing! I have a friend just like Mary Jo who is convinced there are deliciously naughty things behind even my most innocent comment. Great 8's this week, Evelyn.

  3. I laughed, but then I had to blink my eyes really fast a whole bunch of times. Thank you, my dear. Can't wait to read the rest of the story! Thanks as well for the rec for Gravity -- gonna quote it to my boy (who also hates 3-D) to try and convince him that's how we need to view it when we go tomorrow!

  4. Cute snippet. Yep, who doesn't know a Mary Jo? Perfect reason for the choice in her name. Yeah, I think she is safe telling this bunch what happened. :)

  6. Count on your erotic romance friends to assume the worst. Or the best. Depends on your frame of reference.

  10. Sounds like they might believe her after all--those are some people with dirty minds. And they might encourage her to go looking for her hot border guard again!
