Weekend Writing Warriors #59!

Hi there, folks! Happy Spring! I think Mother Nature missed the memo for a new season here in Ottawa, Ontario since we awoke to a raging blizzard, and it's supposed to snow again next Thursday, but after that we're in the clear! Probably! :D

I'm sharing another excerpt from Crossing the Line today as my gift to you for being awesome.

Here's the blurb: Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And here's an excerpt, continuing from where we left off. George has just asked Madison if she's a writer:
She could answer that question with a resounding ‘yes’ now. What started out as a hobby quickly became a passion, and now a profession. “Yes, I am.”
“What kind of books do you write? Like, children’s books?”
Her cheeks flamed. His gaze fixed on her like he could see the gears turning in her head as she tried to think of the best way to avoid his question. She chewed on her lower lip and his smile deepened. “Yeah, sure.” Lowering her eyes to the floorboard, she flinched when he cleared his throat.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

I had an incredibly action-packed week, including filling out the first round of report cards for the new semester, going on dates with cute boys, coaching volleyball, playing sports, spending time with friends, teaching, reading, and dealing with a leaky ceiling. Let's hope this next week is just as exciting, minus the report cards and the leaking and the not having enough time to breathe. lol. Wishing you all a spectacular week! :)
