Weekend Writing Warriors #61!

Hey, hey, hey, my peeps! How's it going? You ready for another exciting weekend of reading and writing? Me too! Let's kick things off with some more 'Crossing the Line' action. :)

Blurbity blurb:  Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And here's an excerpt, continuing from where we left off:

How in the hell was she going to explain the trunk full of sex toys and boxes of erotic romance books? “Uh, okay.” She pressed the trunk release button and cringed as he walked to the rear of her vehicle.
He lifted the latch and her stomach lurched. She bashed her head against the steering wheel to the sound of him sifting through the unfit-for-children contents of her trunk.
He returned to her open window and lowered his voice to a dangerous level. “You wanna change your answer, Miss Kelly?”
“Props,” she blurted.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

I'm extremely happy to report that my junior girls volleyball team recorded their first set win this past week. Not a full game. Just a set. One set in 10 games. But you know what? I am the proudest coach on the planet because these girls have played their hearts out all season long, and even more importantly, they've come together as a team. They support each other, and they're friends on and off the court. What more could you possibly ask for? I may not be the winningest coach in history, but I definitely have a team full of champions. :) Next up, I'll be coaching junior girls soccer! Can't wait! Wishing you all a fabulous (and warm!) week!

  1. Delicious! And when she says, "Props." I cracked up. You've got this story going on, Evelyn. Winner coach. I get a kick-not from a soccer ball-from your eights each week.

  8. "Unfit-for-children content of her trunk" just makes me snicker. Reminds me of the Not Ready for Prime Time Players. I think Madison and George are made for each other, sort of like you and your awesome volleyball girls! Good job with the team, and also on the great eight!

  10. I was detained at the Canadian border last summer (they didn't believe me that I just woke up one morning and decided to go camping in Canada, by myself). Sad to say, it was nothing like this! :D

  11. Props! What an answer! :) The question begs, props for what? A wild and sexy play? This is some really fun -- and saucy dialogue.
