Weekend Writing Warriors #77!

Heyyyyyy, my peeps! Happy Sunday to you and you and you! Thanks tons for coming to see me and for reading my words and stuff. :) Today I'm sharing more from my new release, Crossing the Line!

Here's the blurb: Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And here's the excerpt, continuing from where we left off:
He slid closer to her and his mouth curved into a smile. “So, your books look…good.”
She almost preened until she remembered who he was and where she was. “Good how?”
The hand burning a hole in her jeans climbed higher, right along with her heart rate. “You know, if you ever need a cover model…I could probably help you out with that.”
Her eyes widened. “Oh, really?”

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

  3. I'd say initial contact as to his intent has been made. You do a great job of bringing these two together in a realistic way.

  4. I blame you for my increased ice cream consumption this week. Had to do something to cool down after reading about that steamy border crossing. Hey, is it hot in here, or is it just George? Fabulous story, and what a deal for only $.99! Guess I'll use my savings to buy some more ice cream to prepare for the re-reading!

  7. Oh, goody, we're back to the border crossing. He sounds a little arrogant. I hope Madison teaches him a thing or two.

  12. I wonder exactly what he means by the books 'look good.' But if he's going to model for one, they'll look even better!
