Weekend Writing Warriors #89!

Hiiiiiii! How are you? Good? You look good. Very happy you could join me again today for another round of the WWW! I'm gonna share another excerpt from Adventures in Online Dating. You ready for it? Okay!

First, here's the blurb: After too many failed relationships, too many shots of tequila, and too many not-so-gentle nudges from her best friend, Sydney Montrose joins an online dating site in hopes of finding THE ONE. During her adventures, she crosses paths with a professional gamer who lives with his parents, a sweet and sarcastic parking enforcement officer, a flirty barista, a mystery man, a touchy-feely former felon, and a clown. Which one will she choose? Well, that's all entirely up to you! :-D

And here's an excerpt, skipping ahead just a tiny bit:

So when does Joe wanna hook up?”
Sydney bit her lip. “Actually, he suggested a Tuesday date as well...at the same coffee shop....”
“Oh, Syd, my dear Syd.” A smile spread from one corner of her mouth to the other. “I have never been more proud of you, you two-timing date tramp.”
Sydney laughed. “I feel terrible. I’ll have to cancel on one of them because there’s no way I can handle two dates in one night.”
“Well, we’ve got G.I. Joe and Wigglin’ Charlie...who’s it gonna be?”

Time for you guys to make a choice! Do you want to read about her date with Joe or her date with Charlie? Let me know in your comment! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

Just spent the most wonderful time yesterday with the Ottawa Romance Writers of America for a workshop on good plotting and sexing led by Molly O'Keefe...who I happen to have a slight girl crush on now. She's so fun, funny, and a fountain of information. The woman gives great hug too. It's always nice when big league author folk are super-awesome people too. Makes it all the more easy to click that 'buy now' button. :) Wishing all of you a fantastic week ahead!

  3. You always have such humor in your writing. I'm a sucker for a GI Joe myself...but with a name like Wigglin' charlie that date would have to be amusing.

    1. I'm gonna put you down as a vote for Joe to make it interesting. ;) Thanks, Sarah!

  4. Are you sure she can't juggle both of them?? Well, if I have to choose I'll go with Wigglin' Charlie. The man has potential, me thinks.

    1. Maybe Charlie can teach her how to juggle. ;) Thanks, Alexis!

  5. You really should have a third option for juggling them both LOL. I love this concept - I'll take Joe for the date. Great snippet!

    1. Hee! If it makes you feel any better, you'll get to see her date with both guys eventually. I'm just showing the popular vote date first. :) Thanks so much, Veronica!

  6. I think you've got to go with Charlie. Otherwise, she'll always wonder about him. Twenty years from now she could be happily settled in with GI Joe and still be wondering about Charlie...Best to solve that mystery now, while she's still a carefree two-timing date tramp.

  8. You gotta love a friend who comes up with nicknames for dates. I think she needs to learn how to juggle. Now's the time to explore options

    1. This is true, and we will, but I can only show one date at a time so I'll go with the majority. lol. Thanks, Shannyn! :)

  10. She should've told one of them that she was busy that day. But now I'm curious which one she'll cancel on. I suspect it will be the wrong one.

  11. G.I. Joe!!! I know I say it every week, but I just love the tight bond between Grace and Sydney. So much fun!
Molly is an amazing speaker. She's spoken to the Toronto Romance Writers a number of times and I loved every single one.
