Weekend Writing Warriors #33!

Heya! Happy Sunday, all! I'm skipping ahead just a teeny little bit in my story, Crossing the Line, but the action essentially picks up where we left off.

Here's the blurb:
Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And here's the excerpt:

His feet swung back and forth. Strangely, the action helped to calm her swelling nerves. “How long will you be out of the country?”
If she’d been writing their story, right around this point George would pin his smoldering gaze on her and she’d answer in a breathy voice, ‘Why, you gonna miss me, hot stuff?’ And then he’d smile and tell her it was time for a strip search. And she’d sigh and blush and pretend it was such a chore for him to pat her down in places that so needed to be patted down.
Fantasy George had her pinned to the table before real-life George put a stop to it in the most effective way possible: he pressed a warm palm to her bouncing knee.
“What are you thinking about?” he whispered.

Thanks tons for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

Today happens to be my incredible grandmother's 90th birthday. I wish you could all know this woman. She is the kindest, most generous soul in the world. Everyone who's ever met her loves her. She makes me laugh, she's always there for me, she supports me in all my wacky schemes, she believes in me, and, best of all, she has a dirty mind that I'm grateful was passed down to me, along with her sweet tooth. :D Happy birthday, Granny! Love you like crazy! I'm off to celebrate with family and friends. Wishing you all a fabulous day too! :)

  6. Oh my goodness, the scene is steamy before the steam. I love that he's interrupting her thoughts...just hope she tells him what she's thinking...sounds like she needs fantasy to become reality.
