Weekend Writing Warriors #64!

Good morning to you, my friends! Hope the day is treating you well so far! I was asked when Crossing the Line was going to be released, and it won't be until July. But I will keep you all posted as the date gets closer. :) Until then, here's another sneak peek!

Blurby: Madison Kelly is an erotic romance author from Canada on her way to her first ever writing conference. Across the border. A trunk full of dirty books and dildos proves enough to amp up her nerves and make her lips flap faster than the maple leaf flag.
But she's not going anywhere until George Petropoulos gives the go-ahead.
The Greek god of a border guard has something other than national security in mind when he detains this particular citizen. He can’t help but be charmed by the juxtaposition between her stammering blushes and the racy books she writes.
A hot and heavy interrogation brings out her inner sex goddess, one that she’s been hiding in the pages of her books, and leaves them both wanting more. But will they be brave enough to cross the line again?

And now for an excerpt, continuing from where we left off:
George squeezed her elbow. The gesture almost felt intimate, but the steely glint in his eyes kept her from believing it. “Just doing my job.” Her skin flushed when the deep baritone of his voice wrapped around her like a warm blanket. “Oh, and you have the right to remain silent.”
Her mouth snapped closed. This was real; this was happening. He opened the glass door and guided her inside with a hand at the small of her back. She swallowed hard and prayed that George was the one doing the interrogating and not the NFL linebacker-wannabe giving her a stare-down.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

I was invited by the Outdoor Ed. class at my school to act as an additional staff supervisor on their hiking trip to the Adirondacks this coming week, which basically resulted in me making this face: :D So pumped! Can't wait to get some fresh air and enjoy nature in one of the most serene settings. I also know I'm gonna need to pack about 43 layers of clothing because I sweat like a beast. Hope you all have an equally fabulous week! :)

  1. I'm always a sucker for any 'hand in the small of her back' talk. There, now you know one of my secrets. Woohoo, there's a chance I won't be dead after all when this comes out. I'm pretty sure I'll still be alive and kicking in July. Can't wait to read the whole thing! Have a good time on your trip -- I know you'll have a blast!

    1. Well, either that or he wants her to give him a demonstration. ;) Thanks, Millie!

  8. I'm not sure the Miranda is supposed to be prefaced by an 'oh,' so casually... That makes a scary moment almost funny--since I'm not Madison.

  9. I wonder if he wanted the gesture intimate or intimidating.
