Weekend Writing Warriors #74!

Goooood Sunday morning, my friends! Welcome to another edition of the Weekend Writing Warriors! Today I'm totally switching gears and sharing an excerpt from Body Check which was recently published as a bonus story in the Heat Wave erotic romance boxed set!

Here's the blurb: Alicia Holden is the ultimate hockey fan. She eats, sleeps, and breathes the game, but there's one real reason for her devotion. And his name is Mike Converset. When an opportunity comes along to win a charity dinner with her hockey heartthrob, she leaps at the chance.

He's absolutely nothing like she imagined. Rough, tough, and in no mood to impress, Mike assumes Alicia's like every other woman who's come into his life, but he soon learns she's so much more. They share a connection that brings them closer together in mind and body. But is their romantic encounter simply a one-night stand, or can they take their passion into overtime?

And heeeere's an excerpt:
“You idiot, that was a perfect pass! What does the guy have to do, spoon feed ya?”
Pounding her fists against the cushions, she rolled her eyes. It was no wonder every man she ever dated stopped calling her soon after watching a game with her. Hell, one date didn’t even make it through the third period. It might have had something to do with the flying elbow that landed in his left eye. It wasn’t her fault the goal was waved off. The poor guy walked out with a bag of frozen peas plastered to his face and he still promised he’d call; he didn’t.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

As I mentioned earlier, Body Check is part of the Heat Wave erotic romance boxed set that is now available for the low, low price of 99 cents! Six sexy stories for sultry summer nights, including three bonus stories! Another one of my stories, Cheapskates in Love, is also featured in this collection. Be sure to get yourself a copy while they're hot, hot, hot! ;)

I'm off to a family reunion today! Wishing everyone a wonderful day and week ahead!! :)

  2. Alicia is soooo my kind of woman! I freaked out my husband the first time I watched a hockey game - it is the ONLY time I ever yell and scream at a TV screen. Hockey is just too important not to!
