Weekend Writing Warriors #131!

Hey, hi, hello! Happy Sunday! Ready for more Adventures in Online Dating? Well, I've got a special delivery just for you!

Here's the blurb: After too many failed relationships, too many shots of tequila, and too many not-so-gentle nudges from her best friend, Sydney Montrose joins an online dating site in hopes of finding THE ONE. During her adventures, she crosses paths with a professional gamer who lives with his parents, a sweet and sarcastic parking enforcement officer, a flirty barista, a mystery man, a touchy-feely former felon, and a clown. Which one will she choose? Well, that's all entirely up to you! :-D

And here's an excerpt, continuing from where we left off:

“And the last one--the million dollar question?”
“Maybe you could help me solve that mystery over dinner. I love The Empire, by the way.”
Garrett’s answering grin nearly stole her breath. “You hungry now, Sydney? I know the maĆ®tre d' at The Empire, and I could get us a table.”
“Starving.” She wet her lips with the tip of her tongue. The subtle gesture drew his eyes to her lips like a moth to a flame.
“Let me make a quick phone call then and we’ll head on over.”

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors!

So, I'm officially moved in to my new digs! You guys, the move was pure hell. I literally moved across the street, and you'd think it would have been a piece of cake, but, like, everything took soooo much longer than expected, and the process ended up taking two days instead of one, but it's done, thank the Lord and my incredible, patient parents.

Oh, and about the hot guy who I'd hoped would help me with the heavy lifting? Let me just say that, since moving into my new place (which I love!!!), I have met an extraordinary number of cute guys. In fact, it's possible that I made out with a magician last night. Not quite a clown, but close, right? :D Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

:) :( ;) :D :-/ :x :P :-* =(( :-0 X( :7 B-) #:-S :(( :)) =)) :-B :-c :)] ~x( :-h I-) =D7 @-) :-w 7:P 2):) :!! \m/ :-q :-bd ^#(^

    1. Hee! Thanks, Michelle! I'm a romantic too, so I'm hoping for more with one of these eligible bachelors in my life. :) This particular story is one I wrote to sub to SilkWords, but they ended up accepting a steamed up version instead that features Charlie and Garrett. Three of the four installments are available to read now: https://www.silkwords.com/stories/online_mating I just completed the fourth installment which should be up soon!

  7. It's easy to tell that a flirtatious dinner will ensue ... unless Garrett puts his foot in his mouth and turns her off somehow.
You have my sympathy about the move. Wife and I have seriously considered moving back to Canada, but the thought of packing up the house, let alone the cost of moving such a distance, has been enough to squelch the thought. Packing more than the cost, though.

    1. Oh yes, the packing and the unpacking is the worst part. But starting fresh in a new place definitely has its perks too. :) Thanks so much for stopping by, Ed!

  9. Wow, Garrett is quite the man about town, isn't he? Still curious to learn why he is so smooth. "They'll feed each other, it'll be adorable." Hee, I see what you did there!

Moving always takes twice as long as you think it will. A-D and I have also been told recently that we are fantastic parents! Enjoy the new place and the cutie magician! Sounds perfect for you!

It really does. You and my A-D ARE fantastic parents, so it's only natural you were told! I'll send you an upDATE in the near future about all the amazing things. :) xoxo
